Janelle M. Jimenez is an Asian-American writer from the Midwest.

She holds degrees in International Relations and Japanese Language and Culture from the University of Southern California. She spent years studying, living, and working in Japan—including three years in rural Shimane Prefecture with local city government as a Coordinator for International Relations, as well as working in the Political Department of the Permanent Mission of Japan to the United Nations in New York City.

When not writing, Janelle indulges in travel and research into esoteric topics.

She currently splits her time between Porto, Portugal and Los Angeles, California.

The Godmaker Chronicles is her first novel.
